WordPress as the CMS-Checklist
If you wish to design your website with wordpress as the CMS, consider to follow this checklist which has been taken into account of many things which should be implemented carefully.
* Is WordPress is the correct CMS that you really need? Is the translation available for the WordPress backend in their own language? How will it be upgraded?
* Will you need to extend WordPress using plugins? Are any hacks to the core necessary? Also While using WP plugins make sure it is well tested for bugs and you should aware about any known issue.
* Will your client be able to upgrade WordPress themselves?
* What types of content will be there, and what should be deemed static?
* How the Permalink structure will look like?
* Will the menu be static which you can be coded into theme or it would be controlled by WordPress ?
* How will you present your sub-pages?
* Do you need Page templates for various sections? How will these work with sub-pages?
* What categories you will be using?
* How you’ll present Posts content?
* Do you need category templates for the various categories?
